MEET
LEANDRA JONES
I'll be honest—this is outside of my comfort zone— writing about myself, but, that’s exactly the purpose of this page: to be open and share more, so hopefully, you get to know me a little better.

Where should I start? I’m an author, a podcaster in the making, and a passionate cooking enthusiast, just to name a few. I was born and raised in Barbados and I like to say I know this island “like a seasoned explorer”

Career Path
I completed my professional real estate certification in 2012, and I have had the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of Real Estate throughout the years.
Most notably, I started my career gaining experience in Finance, completing my double major in Economics and Accounting, after which I started my studies in Business Valuation with CBV whilst working at KPMG to gain experience in business valuations, business planning, restructuring, insolvency, liquidations, and bankruptcy cases.
My journey continued at Terra Caribbean, one of the largest real estate firms on the island, where I now specialize in new developments, from beachfront condos to standalone homes to large-scale commercial and residential projects.
AUTHOR
My love for cooking and Barbados is complete. I wrote this cookbook in honor of my dad and as a surprise to him as a Christmas gift.
I collected his recipes for 15+ years and over time tweaked them to make them my own. In this book, I share my favorites as I truly want everyone to taste a little piece of Barbados!

I also host periodic Supper Clubs & Events where instead of doing the cooking I join guest at the table and let a chef take over to enjoy great food and company.
COMMUNITY
I have always played a role in community service. From Past President of Rotaract Club, to representing Barbados at The World Peace Conference, (I have maintained some of these fond memories and friendships throughout the World). Most recently being the treasurer in Future Farmers Barbados as I have started to develop an interest in growing some of my own produce on island.
PERSONAL LIFE
I am a mother and wife and love that I get to call this island home. I have recently started my journey working out and exploring longevity through the food I prepare as I work on my next book. For those dog lovers like me, I am also a dog mom to 5 lovely rottweilers!

​Lastly, I'll share this. For a while, I struggled with how to present myself to the world, torn between my many interests and layers. We all have different sides—playful, nurturing, or even mischievous and sometimes, all in the same day! But they coexist to shape who we are. Instead of fitting into one mold, I created this space to share what feels authentic to me. I hope as you explore, you get a real sense of who I am.

I’ll end with one of my guiding philosophies in life, that inspired all of this - "Tomorrow isn’t promised, do what you love and want to do today!"
